We are seeking a highly motivated IT Director with a focus on constantly improving our network infrastructure.  In addition, you’ll oversee critical IT projects in cybersecurity and system integration.  Our goal is to provide excellent customer service to our employees in a timely manner and provide a stable and secure network to host sensitive information for our external customers.

Responsibilities:

Business Management:
 
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic IT roadmap that aligns with our organizational objectives, fostering innovation and growth.
  • Oversee department budget and make cost-effective decisions to meet business needs.
  • Responsible for vendor management and accountability
  • Perform special IT projects and system integrations/installations that improve access to information and decrease administrative costs across the organization.
  • Flexible working hours: availability to respond to urgent system needs and maintain IT services at times that minimize impact to the operation.
  • Manage IT staff to achieve business results through communicating job expectations, monitoring, and coaching employees.
  • Leads by example and is hands-on in the day-to-day operation

Cybersecurity Compliance:
 
  • Responsible for hands on management and implementation of 110 Controls of the NIST 800-171 Framework impacting network and infrastructure
  • Work with leadership and employees to implement IT changes based on NIST 800-171 compliance
  • Review, update, and implement cybersecurity policies on a regular basis
  • Ensure third-party vendors comply with NIST 800-171 requirements; work with purchasing and security teams
  • Responsible for conducting regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security threats to CUI; address security breaches involving CUI

Network and Infrastructure:
 
  • Ensure our IT infrastructure (network and IT Systems) will support scalability.
  • Building and maintaining a business recovery plan, ensuring we can bounce back swiftly from IT interruptions.
  • Responsible for network and system performance
  • Establish and maintain a schedule of system maintenance and software updates.
  • Maintain recovery and restoration procedures, in conjunction with backup management and incident management.
 
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree (required) in MIS or IT related field (preferred)
  • 10-15 years related technical experience
  • Knowledge and experience with network administration and installation
  • Proven experience in IT security, compliance, or a related field, with specific experience in NIST 800-171 compliance.
  • Self-motivated, good verbal and written communication skills, team and goal oriented, good problem-solving ability and ability to work with a diverse work force.
  • US Citizenship is required.  Must be willing and able to obtain a Security Clearance or have an active Secret Security Clearance

Preferred:
 
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and general contracts law principles
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply federal regulations and related acquisition policies and guidance
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, tabletop exercises, and penetration testing
  • Experience with a DIBCAC Assessment
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA

Pay Range:

$140,000-$200,000
However, base salary for this position will vary based on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
